We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and committed Pharmacy Technician to provide and develop the clinical pharmacy service within Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust. If you're looking for an innovative clinical role, that is at the forefront of delivering patient-tailored care within the inpatient and community services, with exciting opportunities for professional development and a good work-life balance, then look no further.

The Pharmacy Technician will join our established and respected team based at St Martins's Hospital in Canterbury, working both in the inpatient and community settings. We are passionate and dedicated to ensuring medicines safety is at the heart of patient care.

Our Pharmacy Technicians are provided with opportunities for personal growth and development, including support to do accredited medicine management qualifications and NHS leadership courses.

- Working closely with the multidisciplinary team, key aspects of this clinical post will include providing a comprehensive medicine management service to the inpatient and community services.

- This will include focusing on medicines reconciliation on admission, discharge facilitation, patient counselling, medicines supply and delivering pharmacy services in clozapine and depot clinics in the locality.

- Extended roles include contributing to the audit and teaching agendas and supporting the coordination and supply of clozapine to community patients, including near patient testing at clozapine monitoring clinics.

We are the Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust. We care for the mental health and wellbeing of people across Kent and Medway. Our teams support adults with a wide range of mental health needs. Because we cover the whole county and both hospital and community settings, we can make care more joined up and easier to access for the 1.8 million people of Kent and Medway. Rated ‘Good’ by the CQC, we care for over 2,000 people in our hospitals and 54,000 in the community each year.

Our vision is simple: We are here to help communities not just live with mental illness, but live well. It’s why we’re passionate about working with communities to make mental health care better for everyone. And everything we do is guided by our values caring, inclusive, curious and confident.

Join us - if you share our passion for better mental health care and want to be part of a team that's doing well together.
