We’re looking for a confident, highly organised Business Administrator to join Penrose Court Care Home, a private, luxury service situated in the residential area of Kings Reach, in the market town of Biggleswade.
Supporting up to 65 residents, this is a pivotal role at the heart of the home ideal for someone who brings strong administrative and financial acumen, enjoys working across multiple systems, and understands the importance of precision in a regulated environment.
You’ll work closely with the Home Manager, sit within the internal management structure, and line manage the Receptionists, ensuring both operational excellence and a consistently warm, professional first impression.

The role, what you’ll be doing
First impressions that reflect our standards
You’ll be the welcoming face of Penrose Court professionally handling enquiries, greeting visitors, and ensuring prospective residents, families and professionals feel confident from the moment they arrive.
An ambassador for the home
You’ll confidently show visitors around our luxury environment, represent the home positively within the local community, and build trusted relationships that support occupancy and reputation.
Financially confident administration
This role will suit someone comfortable working with figures, contracts and data. You’ll oversee and manage:
- Resident agreements and documentation
- Payroll inputs and contractual records
- Enquiry tracking, occupancy data and reporting
- E-learning, compliance and HR systems
Multi-system management
You’ll work across several internal systems, ensuring information is accurate, up to date and accessible spotting inefficiencies and supporting smoother ways of working.
Leadership and structure
You’ll line manage the Receptionists, setting clear standards, supporting development, and ensuring a professional, consistent front-of-house function.

You’ll be organised, commercially aware and people-focused someone who enjoys responsibility and takes pride in getting things right.
You’ll bring:
- Strong administrative experience, ideally in a regulated or multi-system environment
- A solid financial understanding, with confidence handling payroll inputs, contracts and data
- Proven ability to manage multiple systems and priorities effectively
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational capability
- Experience or confidence in line management and working within a leadership structure
