Special Needs Assistant - Supporting Every Learner in Chorley!
Are you an experienced Special Needs Assistant searching for a new role in Chorley? Do you have the skills to address diverse needs, including physical, emotional, and cognitive challenges? We are presently seeking certified assistants to offer personalized support within primary education across the Chorley area starting in January 2026.

Whether you are working with children with Down syndrome, cognitive delay, or ADHD, your dedication will help foster a classroom where every student feels included and inspired to grow.
Responsibilities-
Preparation of resources and activities for 1:1 support tailored to the child's needs.

Collaborate with classroom teachers and the SENCO to organise appropriate activities.

Liaise with other professionals such as Teachers, TAs, and specialist support staff.

Work closely with other LSAs and support staff.
-
Work with classes, small groups, and with children on a one-to-one basis.

Monitor and track the development of the pupil in question and support personal development and confidence.

Experience of working with young people.

Be comfortable and confident in managing challenging behaviours.

Ability to engage with and build rapport with young people.

Be creative, proactive, and flexible in your supporting style.

Have experience with SEN or a strong knowledge of learning difficulties.

TA qualified.
