As a Management Accountant, you’ll provide accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting to support operational and strategic objectives. Reporting to the Group Finance Manager and working with the wider finance team, you’ll be responsible for producing management accounts, analysing financial data, and contributing to the ongoing growth and efficiency of the business.

Salary: £27,000 - £35,000 (dependent on experience)
Job Type & Hours: Full time/ Permanent/ Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
Location: Kendal Depot (LA7 7FP)
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
• Preparing monthly management accounts with variance analysis
• Managing Trial Balance including reconciliation of control accounts
• Producing month end and year end journals
• Producing balance sheet reconciliations
• Managing Fixed Assets and Depreciation
• Managing of supplier incentives
• Managing of key supplier statement
• Assisting the preparation of quarterly VAT returns
• Liaising with external audit in preparation of statutory accounts
• Providing financial analysis and insights to support business decisions
• Assisting with cash flow management and financial planning
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements within finance operations
What We’re Looking For:
• Professional accountancy qualifications at minimum AAT level 3 or above
• Previous experience in a management accounting or similar finance role is highly desirable
• Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication skills across all levels
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
• A positive mindset with good levels of self-motivation
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems
