Overview of Role:
Located in a fast-paced production plant, the Quality Technician will be an integral part of the Quality and Environmental department supporting the quality and environmental manager in ensuring that the performance testing and quality of the product is undertaken to meet the established quality standards and regulations. You will conduct testing and activities to support the manufacturing activities, ensuring that all documentation is completed correctly. Working in an efficient and safe manner you will add to the overall
productivity, profitability, and success of the Company.
Main Job Purpose (Job Description)
• Daily patrol inspections of all areas of factory to ensure compliance with current working practices.
• Daily line-end inspection checks to include specific data recording.
• Final inspection of factory assembled insulated rooflight systems and training operators, where required.
• Conduct daily testing to include, glass, Flexural, Tensile and impact testing.
• Preparing samples for customers (home and export).
• Building FAIRs units for testing and as samples.
• Lab evaluation testing of new and alternative materials, to include (but not limited to) catalyst, resin, colour.
• Conducting internal quality and environmental audits.
• Checking and actioning returned goods notes (RGN).
• Record keeping of glass test and usage records.
• Specific data recording of manufactured product.
• Maintain a safe working environment for you and others, ensuring that Company and regulatory standards are achieved at all times.
• To undertake ad-hoc general administration duties as directed by Departmental Managers.
