Deputy General Manager – Leading Hotel, Lancashire
Multi-Outlet | Large-Scale F&B | Leisure Facilities | Conference & Banqueting
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + Bonus Package
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Deputy General Manager to join a high-performing hotel operation in Lancashire. This is a pivotal role within a multi-outlet, full-service property offering extensive F&B, strong leisure facilities and a thriving conference and banqueting operation.
We are looking for a dynamic hospitality professional with a proven track record in large-scale venues and the ability to lead, motivate and inspire sizeable teams — typically around 250 staff across multiple departments. You will be a confident operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands how to deliver exceptional guest experiences across varied outlets.
Working closely with the General Manager, you will play a key role in developing, growing and elevating the hotel’s full offering, driving continuous improvement, and supporting long-term commercial success. This role will suit someone who has progressed through the ranks in hotels with strong F&B and high-volume operations, and who is now looking for the next step in their leadership career.
Ideal Candidate:
• Experienced hospitality leader with a background in large, multi-outlet hotel environments.
• Strong operational understanding of F&B, conference and banqueting, and leisure facilities.
• Demonstrable ability to manage and inspire large teams (circa 150 staff) across several departments.
• Ambitious, forward-thinking and motivated by opportunities to develop and grow a hotel’s full operation.
• Hands-on, approachable leadership style with strong communication and people-management skills.
• A natural problem-solver with a calm approach and the confidence to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Commercially aware, performance-driven, and comfortable working closely with the GM to deliver key business objectives.
• Has worked their way up through operational roles, bringing a deep understanding of frontline service and departmental functions.
• Passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high service standards across all outlets.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee day-to-day hotel operations across all outlets, ensuring consistent service excellence.
• Lead, support and develop departmental managers and wider teams.
• Work with the GM to drive operational performance, guest satisfaction and revenue growth.
• Support implementation of strategic plans, brand standards and operational initiatives.
• Ensure full compliance with health & safety, licensing and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain strong visibility across the property as a senior point of contact.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
• Champion colleague engagement, training and continuous improvement.
