Class 2 Driver (Category C) – IlkestonWe are currently looking to recruit a professional and experienced Class 2 (Category C) Driver to join a well-established and growing provider of commercial vehicle and fleet solutions based in Ilkeston.Supporting a modern and diverse fleet of HGVs and specialist vehicles, this role is ideal for a driver who takes pride in delivering a high standard of service, operating compliantly, and representing a professional transport business.This position offers consistent, ongoing work within a structured operation that places strong emphasis on safety, vehicle standards, and customer experience.The RoleAs a Class 2 Driver, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day movement and delivery of commercial vehicles and goods across the local and regional network.Your responsibilities will include:Operating Class 2 vehicles for deliveries, collections, and vehicle movementsCarrying out multi-drop or scheduled deliveries to commercial clientsEnsuring all deliveries and collections are completed efficiently and within agreed timeframesConducting thorough daily vehicle walkaround checks and defect reportingCompleting all relevant delivery documentation and compliance paperwork accuratelyAdhering to all driver hours, Working Time Directive (WTD), and tachograph regulationsMaintaining the cleanliness and presentation of vehiclesProviding a professional and customer-focused service at all delivery pointsLiaising with transport planners and operational teams to ensure smooth workflowAbout YouWe are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious driver who understands the importance of compliance, presentation, and customer service within a professional transport environment.You will have:A valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licenceA valid Driver CPC qualificationA Digital Tachograph CardPrevious experience in a Class 2 driving role (preferred)A good working knowledge of UK driving laws, driver hours, and tachograph regulationsStrong communication skills and a professional mannerA flexible and proactive approach to workHigh standards of punctuality, reliability, and personal presentationWhat’s on OfferCompetitive hourly rate of £15.00 – £17.00 per hourRegular, ongoing work with a stable and reputable commercial vehicle operationOpportunity to work with a modern, well-maintained HGV fleetStructured and supportive transport team environmentImmediate start availablePotential for long-term opportunities for the right candidateIf you are an experienced Class 2 Driver looking to join a professional, forward-thinking transport operation where standards and reliability are valued, we would like to hear from you.Apply via the link or contact us directly to discuss the role in more detail.
