The role
Do you have experience creating safe, welcoming environments where people feel respected and supported? Are you calm under pressure and confident handling day-to-day building safety, resident needs, and unexpected situations?
As a Concierge at Quo Vadis Trust (QVT), you will play a key role within a 24-hour supported housing scheme. You will be a consistent, professional presence who helps residents feel secure in their homes while ensuring the building is safe, clean, and well maintained.
This is a practical, people-facing role that combines customer service, building safety, and tenancy support. You will work as part of a wider team to support residents living with mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide a welcoming and professional presence to residents and visitors
Support tenancy sustainment within a 24-hour housing scheme
Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and on-call situations
Carry out regular health, safety, and fire alarm checks
Maintain accurate records using the organization’s client management system
Complete room, property, and safety inspections and report issues promptly
Support residents during move-ins and move-outs
Carry out light cleaning and minor practical tasks when required
Work with colleagues to follow safeguarding procedures
Liaise with external agencies and attend meetings when needed
Provide cover at other QVT schemes when required

The Person
We’re looking for someone who is:
Literate and numerate to GCSE level or equivalent in English and Math
Comfortable using Microsoft applications and client management systems
Experience in customer service, housing, mental health, or supportive environments
Understanding of mental health conditions, learning disabilities, homelessness, or substance misuse
Awareness of housing issues, tenancy sustainment, and health and safety
Clear verbal and written communication skills
Calm, patient, and professional under pressure
Able to work independently while contributing to a team
Flexible and willing to work unsociable hours on a 24-hour rota
Willing to complete further training as required
Able to complete an enhanced DBS check, funded by QVT
