Job Purpose
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Turkish-speaking Night Care Assistant to provide overnight support for an elderly client living with dementia in a private home in Central London.
The role involves delivering calm, person-centred night-time care, reassurance, and supervision, with a strong emphasis on dignity, safety, and emotional wellbeing. This position is suited to a carer experienced in dementia care who understands the importance of routine, familiarity, and gentle communication during night hours.
Key Responsibilities
1. Night-Time Personal Care & Support: Provide appropriate night-time personal care, including toileting, hygiene, and comfort support as required.
Assist with safe mobility during the night, using correct techniques and equipment where necessary.
Support the client during periods of confusion, restlessness, or anxiety related to dementia.
2. Dementia-Specific Care: Deliver reassurance and orientation in line with dementia care best practice.
Communicate calmly and clearly, using Turkish to support understanding, comfort, and emotional wellbeing.
Maintain a consistent night-time routine to promote rest and reduce distress.
3. Monitoring & Safety: Monitor the client’s wellbeing throughout the night and respond appropriately to needs or changes.
Observe and report any changes in health, behaviour, or condition to the Registered Manager.
Maintain accurate night records, including care delivered, observations, and any incidents.
4. Professional Practice & Compliance: Follow all company policies and procedures, including safeguarding, confidentiality, health and safety, and medication support (if applicable).
Work in line with agreed care plans and risk assessments.
Maintain a professional, respectful, and discreet approach at all times within the client’s home.
Person Specification - Essential Requirements:
Turkish speaking (essential)
Previous experience supporting clients with dementia (essential)
Right to work in the UK
Calm, patient, and reassuring manner, particularly during night shifts
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care or willingness to work towards it
Experience in night care, waking nights, or sleep-in support
Experience working in private home-care settings
Skills & Attributes

Empathy, patience, and emotional intelligence
Ability to work independently and follow night-time care protocols
Commitment to dignity, confidentiality, and person-centred care
Working Hours
