Graduate Learning Support Assistant - All-Girls Secondary School - Wandsworth

We are working with a high-performing all-girls secondary school in Wandsworth to recruit a Graduate Learning Support Assistant to provide academic support across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with a particular focus on English and Humanities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate considering a future career in teaching, education, psychology, or pastoral support. You will work closely with subject teachers and the learning support team to help students build confidence, develop literacy and analytical skills, and reach their academic potential.
Degrees in English, History, or related humanities subjects are highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-class and small-group learning support across KS3 and KS4
- Support students with English, History, and Humanities subjects
- Help pupils improve reading, writing, comprehension, and exam technique
- Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom organisation
- Build positive relationships that encourage engagement and progress
- Support students with mild SEN or additional learning needs where required
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A degree in English, History, Humanities or a related subject
- A genuine interest in education and supporting young people
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence working in a secondary school environment
- Experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
- An aspiration towards teacher training or educational careers
