We are seeking a dedicated professional to join a large, inclusive primary setting in the North Sheffield area. This school is renowned for its vibrant, diverse community and its "whole-child" approach to education. With a focus on breaking down barriers to learning, the school provides a supportive, fast-paced environment where staff are encouraged to share ideas and collaborate on pastoral and academic initiatives.
Roles & Responsibilities-
Delivering tailored 1:1 support for pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs to ensure they remain engaged with learning.

Leading small-group phonics and numeracy "catch-up" sessions to bridge attainment gaps in Key Stage 1 and 2.

Assisting the Class Teacher in managing classroom dynamics by using positive reinforcement and restorative behaviour strategies.

Preparing bespoke sensory or visual resources to support pupils with specific learning difficulties.

Observing and documenting pupil progress, providing vital feedback to the SENCo and teaching staff during review meetings.

Supervise pupils during unstructured times, such as break and lunch, to promote positive social interaction and safe play.

A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent experience).

Proven experience working within a primary school setting, ideally in a diverse or inner-city environment.

High levels of resilience and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

Strong literacy and numeracy skills to confidently support the primary curriculum.

A proactive "can-do" attitude and a willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school.

Must possess an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to undergo a new check.
