About The Role

Support Worker
Ty Bronllys Residential Home – Brecon
£12.60–£12.80 per hour (depending on experience)
Full-time (40.25 hours per week) or Part-time contracts available

Imagine going to work surrounded by the Brecon Beacons — and coming home knowing you’ve genuinely changed someone’s day for the better.

At Ty Bronllys, our Support Workers combine meaningful, person-centred care with an active, outdoor lifestyle, supporting our individuals to live life on their own terms.

Do you want a role where your work genuinely changes lives?

At Orbis Education and Care, we support children with autism and complex needs to live fulfilling, meaningful lives — and we’re looking for kind, committed Support Workers to join our team at Ty Bronllys.

Whether you’re experienced or just starting your care journey, if you bring empathy, patience, and a desire to help others thrive, we’ll support you every step of the way.

About Ty Bronllys
Set in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park, Ty Bronllys offers a calm, nurturing environment surrounded by beautiful countryside. Our individuals enjoy an active, fulfilling lifestyle — from countryside walks and castle visits to café trips, shopping days, and local adventures.

This is a home where people are supported as individuals, not routines.
What your day might look like

No two days are the same — and that’s what makes this role so rewarding.
As a Support Worker, you’ll:

- Build positive, trusting relationships with the individuals you support
- Help with daily routines, personal care, and developing life skills
- Support independence through activities, outings, and community involvement
- Celebrate progress — big and small — every step of the way
- Take part in fun, engaging experiences like train rides, trampoline parks, and local trips
- Work closely with your team to provide consistent, person-centred care

You’ll also support with:

- Record keeping and care notes
- Meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Creating a warm, welcoming, home-like environment

Who we’re looking for
You don’t need to tick every box — we’re more interested in who you are.
We’re looking for people who:

- Are compassionate, patient, and genuinely care about others
- Communicate well and enjoy working as part of a team
- Are resilient and adaptable in a dynamic environment
- Are open to learning, training, and development
- Have basic IT skills
- Can work flexible shifts, including weekends and occasional nights

Why join Orbis?
We invest in you, not just the role.

- Clear career progression — 97% of our managers progressed internally
- Funded qualifications and ongoing training
- Health plan (after probation)
- Refer a Friend scheme – earn up to £1,000
- Blue Light Card – access to national discounts
- Supportive, values-led organisation where your voice matters
