Workshop Shift Manager needed in Plymouth Paying £19.32 per hr ref OR20315
Full time hours on a temporary basis
We are seeking an experienced Workshop Shift Manager to oversee day-to-day operations in a busy workshop environment. You will ensure the effective and efficient delivery of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and MOTs for a large fleet, maintaining compliance with VOSA regulations and operating licence requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of 14 technicians delivering planned and reactive maintenance
- Ensure all inspections, testing, and repairs meet legal and safety standards
- Oversee a £750k service budget and drive efficiency
- Implement policies and processes for safe, compliant operations
- Lead on Health & Safety, risk assessments, and workplace compliance
- Deliver a customer-focused service within agreed timescales
