Are you kind, creative and passionate about early years?
We are looking for a dedicated, motivated, caring individual with a great sense of humour, to join our team.
The main key duties of the role are:
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
- Respond to children’s needs and interests, extending children’s learning through play.
- Help to providing a creative and engaging learning environment for all children, contributing to and implementing the curriculum.
- Be a proactive member of the team, providing a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment.
- Carry out the role of the key person and implement the daily routines of the Pre-School.
- Be able to observe children during play and link those observations to the EYFS.
- Promote good practice and be a reflective practitioner.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare
- Maintain and promote a positive image of the Pre-School to children, parents and visitors.
- Support the Pre-School’s management team to deliver high-quality care and education in line with the setting’s policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in accordance with regulatory standards
This is for maternity cover starting in February
Monday to Friday – 8.30am -3.00pm - term time only.
You will need the following: -
* A relevant level 3 Early Years qualification or above and 2 years proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting
* Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage confidently with children, parents, and team members
* A good knowledge of the EYFS and have a commitment to ongoing training and development.
* Be good team player with flexibility and initiative.
*Ability to organise activities that stimulate learning and development
*Compassionate nature with a genuine passion for working with young children
