Position Overview:

Cabot Highlands are seeking a proactive and hands-on Maintenance Coordinator in maintenance operations across our hospitality and golf facilities. This role is vital in ensuring that all guest areas, accommodation, and golf sites are safe, well-maintained, and presented to the highest standard. You will join a small team, respond to urgent maintenance needs, and work collaboratively with operations, housekeeping, and guest services teams.

Core Responsibilities:

• Assist in coordinating daily activities of the maintenance team, ensuring timely completion of tasks
• Collaborate to develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and repair plans
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and compliance issues
• Perform or oversee general maintenance work, including basic plumbing, electrical, decorating, appliance repairs and grounds maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with site systems, boilers, appliances, and other mechanical systems
• Prioritise and respond quickly to urgent repair requests and emergency maintenance situations
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and update logs for equipment and repairs
• Manage maintenance inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper use of tools and equipment
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment
• PAT testing as necessary – training will be provided

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Experience in a busy site maintenance role
• Relevant technical certifications in plumbing, heating and electrical would be advantageous
• Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial property maintenance
• Knowledge of UK health and safety regulations
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to liaise and communicate well and positively at all levels with colleagues and guests
• Knowledge or experience in using Microsoft Office applications
• A flexible and positive approach in a fast moving and changing environment

Working Hours:

Days and hours will flex throughout winter and summer with weekend cover on a rota. Work patterns will be organised according to a rota which could be on any day from Monday-Sunday.

Physical Demands:

• Heavy lifting and manual handling
• Tool use and dexterity for use of tools and moving heavy objects
• Use of stepladders/ladders
• Bending, kneeling, crouching or standing for prolonged periods
• Concentrated hand/eye coordination for tasks such as assembling parts and repairs
