Crynodeb
The post will involve carrying out evidence synthesis, assisting with protocol development, participating in Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) groups, ethical and R&D permissions, patient identification and enrolment in active trials, data analysis and potential for presentation and publication. In addition, due to a strong presence in the acute burns Hot Clinic, and on the ward, it is expected that the candidate will engage with all aspects of the acute management of burns patients and gain clinical knowledge and improved operative skills to assist in a future career in burns and plastic surgery. This will include ward rounds, some involvement in operating lists, clinic, assessment of acute patients in Hot Clinic, participating in weekly burns MDTs, departmental teaching, and audit and quality improvement projects. The appointee must demonstrate that they have a background interest in burns and plastic surgery and have successfully completed Foundation Training. They should have completed Core Surgical training and have passed MRCS.
