Job Purpose:
To provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to service users in their own homes or care settings, promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing. The role involves direct care, assisting with daily living activities, and supporting social participation, while adhering to all statutory, regulatory, and organisational standards.

Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver personal care: washing, bathing, dressing, continence support, mobility
assistance, and oral care.
* Support service users with meals, hydration, and medication prompts in line with
care plans.
* Encourage independence and participation in community and leisure activities.
Observe, report, and document changes in service users’ physical, emotional, or
cognitive health.
* Follow infection prevention and control procedures, including hand hygiene and
PPE use.
* Uphold the privacy, dignity, and human rights of service users at all times.
* Support end-of-life care and palliative needs when required.
* Attend and contribute to team meetings and care reviews.
* Participate in mandatory and optional training programs.

Requirements / Qualifications:
* Previous care experience desirable; training provided for beginners.
* SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards).
* Registration with SSSC (or willingness to register within 6 months).
* Understanding of the Health and Social Care Standards in Scotland.
* Reliable, empathetic, patient, and adaptable.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
