A busy family based in North Yorkshire is seeking a Live-in or Live-out Nanny Housekeeper to support their household and care for their two young children. This is a well-balanced role combining childcare and housekeeping, ideal for someone warm, organised, and confident managing both responsibilities. The family also has a small Cavapoo, so the successful candidate must be comfortable around pets and happy to help with occasional dog walks.
The childcare element of the role is focused in the afternoons, while housekeeping hours are flexible and can be arranged across the week to suit the right candidate. A driver with their own car is essential due to the location. A valid first-aid qualification is a must.
Working hours:
Childcare: Monday to Thursday, 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm, with flexibility to babysit 1–2 evenings per week. Housekeeping: Approximately 15–20 hours per week, flexible and to be discussed
Accommodation: Spacious private floor with an en-suite bedroom, separate and private from the rest of the home.
Duties include:
Ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of the children.
Bathing the children and maintaining good hygiene routines.
Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks for the children.
Supporting homework, early literacy, and educational development.
Engaging the children in interactive play, educational activities, and outdoor outings.
Performing routine floor care, including sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping.
Cleaning and sanitising bathrooms and maintaining the kitchen area.
Managing laundry duties, including washing, ironing, folding, and organising.
Making beds and changing linens as required.
Cleaning and organising dishware, including loading and unloading the dishwasher.
Cooking meals for the whole family.
