Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens, towels, and other laundry items within our establishment. This position is essential to ensuring that our guests enjoy a comfortable and pleasant experience during their stay. Previous experience in a hotel environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron laundry items according to established procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
Monitor laundry supplies and report any shortages to housekeeper promptly.
Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
Previous experience in a hotel or similar environment is preferred but not essential.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and lift heavy loads when necessary.
Good communication skills and a friendly attitude towards guests and colleagues.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.
