Darlington Borough Council is seeking to increase our Waste Operative Team within the Environmental Services Division in preparation for the launch of our new Food Waste Collection Service.



Working a 4-day working week totalling 74 hours over a 2-week period. Our collection services typically operate Tuesday to Friday, starting daily at 7:00am. Occasional work on Mondays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Bank Holidays will be required to meet service demands.

The role includes:



Domestic waste and recycling collections (including food waste).

Garden waste collections.

Trade waste collections.

Bulky Waste collections.

And any other duties of a similar nature related to this post within the Environmental Services Division throughout the Borough of Darlington, whilst maintaining a high standard of customer service at all times.
