Are you passionate about data, problem solving and building your technical career? We’re looking for someone who’s eager to learn,
excited by complex datasets, and ready to play a key role in how our organisation uses information to make smarter decisions. As
our ICT BI Assistant, you’ll work closely with our ICT DBA & BI Administrator to maintain, develop and optimise the systems and
data flows that power our business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with SQL experience who wants to grow into a well
rounded BI Engineer or Junior DBA.
What you'll be doing:
* Creating and amending SQL views, stored procedures and ad-hoc queries
* Logging report requests and support details in the helpdesk management software and updating progress to resolution
* Collaborating with teams across the business: understanding their data needs and helping turn them into practical solutions.
* Implementing strong data governance: version control, indexing, reviewing data for relevance and quality.
* Developing reports and data models: using the Microsoft BI stack (SSRS, Power BI, Excel).
* Documenting processes and supporting users: creating clear technical documentation and assisting colleagues with BI tools.
* Driving continuous improvement: spotting opportunities to automate, optimise and enhance how we work with data.
About You:
You will have experience of working in a similar role with the following skills and experience:
* Weekly hybrid working.
* Experience writing SQL — queries, views, stored procedures.
* Understanding of BI tools and willingness to learn new skills, programming languages and technologies.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel.
* Experience in the housing sector.
