Job Overview: Domestic Assistant – Riverside Centre

We are expanding our dedicated Domestic Services team across Greater Manchester and are seeking a caring, compassionate, and hardworking individual to join us.

Location:Prestwich Hospital
Position:X 2 Domestic Assistant
Hours:X 1, 20 hours per week, X1 17.5 hours per week



Purpose of the Role:
To maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment within the hospital & office areas, ensuring compliance with infection control standards and supporting the well-being of patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform cleaning duties in patient areas, staff rooms, offices, and communal spaces in line with hospital standards.
• Regularly clean and disinfect surfaces, floors, and sanitary facilities.
• Safely handle waste disposal in accordance with infection control and clinical waste protocols.
• Replenish essential supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding policies when working in patient areas.
• Comply with health and safety regulations, including correct use of PPE and COSHH guidelines.

Important Information:
This role isnot eligible for sponsorshipunless you meet criteria under temporary exemptions introduced on 22/07/2025. Separate provisions apply to workers who have held a Skilled Worker visa continuously since before 04/04/2024.

• Report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly.
• Adhere to confidentiality and safeguarding policies when working in patient areas.
• Comply with health and safety regulations, including the use of PPE and COSHH guidelines.

Experience not essential as full training will be given.
