A strong opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a respected and long-established Plymouth engineering team delivering high-calibre projects across the Southwest and beyond.
You’ll work within a multidisciplinary environment, playing a key role in delivering complex electrical design solutions and helping support the development of the next generation of engineers.
The Opportunity
You will contribute to the electrical design and delivery of a varied portfolio including commercial, residential, education, and public-sector projects. This is an excellent role for someone looking to step up their responsibility, deepen their technical expertise, and take ownership of packages and smaller projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
Deliver detailed, coordinated electrical designs across multiple building sectors
Develop strategic concepts that meet client requirements and regulatory standards
Engage directly with clients, contractors and architects in a collaborative, solutions-driven environment
Attend design team meetings, client workshops and site inspections
Support project monitoring including fees, resources, and technical delivery
Mentor junior engineers, sharing technical knowledge and encouraging development
What You’ll Need
Proven experience delivering electrical engineering solutions on complex projects
Proficiency with tools such as BIM, Revit, Dialux, Relux, Electrical OM
Strong communication skills and confidence in client-facing situations
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and contribute to a multidisciplinary team
Supportive leadership style with a willingness to mentor others
