The Link School is recognised nationally as one of the leading schools in Alternative Provision.
It supports the diverse needs of young people in Sunderland many of whom are extremely vulnerable and challenging. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and suitably qualified member of staff who has the commitment to improve the academic outcomes of our young learners, as well as seeking to support them in understanding their own emotions and consequences of their behaviour. The school offers a supportive working environment, a strong commitment to CPD and career opportunities. We are a Centre of Excellence for Inclusion, and a Platinum Anti-Bullying School. The school promotes well-being and work life balance, and this is at the heart of the schoolandrsquo;s ethos. The school has timetabled its week to allow whole school PPA on Friday afternoons, emotional well-being twilights, family friendly policies and other staff benefits, highlighted in our staff well-being policy.

The Link School delivers full time alternative education to learners across the City of Sunderland. We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, visionary practitioner to deliver high quality teaching at KS1.
We currently deliver Reading, Writing, Science. PSHE and Maths, as part of our core curriculum. In addition, we participate in forest school, mindfulness, PE, and topic-based learning. We are looking for a teacher who has a good understanding of teaching early years and is confident in teaching early reading and phonics.
Are you an effective practitioner with a proven track record of improving outcomes for learners? Are you a teacher who can work with, and get the best from learners, who others find difficult or challenging? Would you enjoy working within a team where you will help learners find their confidence and rediscover their love of learning?

Applications are welcome from colleagues already working in alternative provision, mainstream colleagues and NQTs who are interested in a career in alternative education.
