Your role:

  • We have two roles available in the Education, Work & Skills directorate and the Adult Skills team. As a minimum one of these posts is permanent and the second we are confirming the full status, as a minimum this will be fixed term. The posts will be focussed on supporting the management of high-profile skills delivery.

    This will include all aspects of project management, working across a large, devolved delivery offer and test and learn pilots alike. You’ll work directly with a broad range of colleagues, including senior managers and organisations across multiple sectors; with partnership working and stakeholder management being critical aspects of this role.

    Our goal is to ensure the highest quality of support for Greater Manchester residents.

    You’ll apply good project / programme management and organisational skills to deliver strong outcomes, manage risk, and embed learning for continuous improvement.

    Working with across both skills and employment, you’ll build constructive partnerships and help support the influencing of decisions to shape future skills delivery and offer.

    An understanding of Department for Education (DfE) processes and procedures would be advantageous in this role.

  • You have a genuine interest in adult skills and understand how the system operateswhether through direct experience with skills providers or a keen awareness of how adult skills delivery impacts our residents. Hybrid working

This role is part of GMCA’s hybrid working scheme.
