Please see the job description and the person specification attached to the advert for further details Registrar on-call duties- dealing with acute referrals to the department, and escalating as appropriate. Review of patients in our emergency department/surgical assessment unit, and formulation of appropriate management plans with appropriate consultant supervision. Weekly attendance to neurosurgical theatres, assisting and performing both cranial and spinal procedures according to level of competence, with appropriate consultant supervision Attendance at weekly departmental teaching Participation in clinical governance, including departmental/national audits, and quality improvement projects Attendance to outpatient departments and review of patients in clinic Training and supervision of junior colleagues Participation in the morning multidisciplinary board round, and communicating/liaising with allied healthcare professionals to ensure the highest levels of patient safety and care.
