Crynodeb
The following are the core responsibilities of the Finance Manager. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks. This will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels: a. Manage practice finances, maximising income and reducing expenditure b. Accurately monitor cash flow, forecast and predict workflow corresponding to income c. Review all income and expenditure statements, identifying any inaccuracies and rectifying such issues d. Ensure invoices are paid within the given time frame e. Maintain an effective system for the handling of petty cash and cheques f. Submit year-end figures liaising with the organisations accountant g. Manage and oversee the organisations pension scheme, retaining accurate records h. Manage partners drawings i. Manage and oversee PAYE for all organisation staff j. Present financial forecasts to partners as and when required k. Ensure the presentation of monthly financial reports is of a high standard l. Ensure that effective financial controls are in place and processes are adhered to m. Understand and brief the management team on the financial implications of contract and legislation changes affecting the organisation n. Maintain an effective working relationship with the PCN Finance Managers and ICB, ensuring the organisation receives a proportionate and equitable allocation of resources
