Job Title: Static Maintenance Electrician
Location: Portsmouth, Hampshire Salary: £44,000 per annum + Overtime Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00
Are you a qualified Electrician looking for the stability of a static site in Portsmouth? If you are tired of the daily "van-life" and want a role where you can ditch the long commutes and focus on a single location, this is the perfect move for you.
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Electrician to join our dedicated on-site facilities team. This role offers an excellent variety of work, from planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to reactive repairs and small-scale installation projects.
What's in it for you?-
Local Stability: A static site role based in Portsmouth with consistent 08:00 - 17:00 hours.
-
Earning Potential: Competitive base salary of £44,000 with additional overtime available.
-
Holiday & Benefits: 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays and a comprehensive pension scheme.
-
Career Growth: We are committed to your ongoing training and development to help you stay ahead in the industry.
Based at a single location, you will be the technical lead for all electrical systems on-site. Your daily responsibilities will include:
-
PPM & Reactive: Executing planned maintenance schedules and responding quickly to electrical faults.
-
Minor Installs: Carrying out small-scale installation works, such as lighting upgrades, new circuits, and socket additions.
-
Diverse Environment: Maintaining a site that features a mixture of commercial and domestic systems.
-
Compliance: Ensuring all work is completed to the highest safety standards and documented correctly.
We need a versatile "all-rounder" who is as comfortable fixing a fault as they are installing a new circuit.
-
Fully Qualified: Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) and 18th Edition are essential.
-
Experience: A background that covers both Commercial and Domestic settings is highly preferred.
-
Can-Do Attitude: You should be happy performing minor installations alongside standard maintenance duties.
-
Professionalism: As a site-based representative, you will have excellent communication skills and a tidy approach to your work.
