Crynodeb
The Special Operations Trainer will be responsible for delivering highquality specialist training to EMAS staff and partner organisations, ensuring readiness to respond to Marauding Terrorist Attacks (MTA) and Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) incidents. The role combines frontline operational expertise with educational leadership to strengthen resilience across the region.Main Responsibilities: Deliver SORT and Command training programmes to Frontline EMAS staff. Provide CBRN training to acute trusts and other healthcare partners. Plan, organise, and facilitate multiagency exercises, ensuring alignment with national standards and NHS assurance processes. Collaborate with Police, Fire, Military, NHS bodies, and other responders to enhance joint emergency preparedness. Support the maintenance and readiness of specialist incident support equipment and vehicles. Contribute to policy and procedure development, ensuring compliance with national guidance. Undertake audits, produce reports, and capture lessons learned from exercises and incidents to drive continuous improvement. Prepare training materials and documentation to a high standard using Microsoft Office and other digital tools. Deliver training primarily during office hours, with occasional evening or weekend sessions by agreement. Operate from the Operational Support Unit in Mansfield, with potential delivery at other venues across the region.
