An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Equine Veterinary Surgeon to join a progressive and well-established practice in Essex, delivering high quality veterinary care to a diverse equine client base. This role offers a dynamic and rewarding caseload, combining ambulatory work with in-house diagnostics and inpatient care, ensuring no two days are ever the same. Working across yards, stables and outdoor environments, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting equine health and performance across a variety of settings.
The practice is seeking a confident and capable Veterinary Surgeon with solid experience in equine medicine, including emergency and out-of-hours care. A strong foundation in diagnostics, equine pharmacology and nutrition is essential, alongside excellent problem-solving abilities and physical stamina to manage the demands of working with large animals. Clear communication skills are vital, as educating and supporting clients is a core part of delivering outstanding care.
This position is ideally suited to a motivated, RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon who thrives in a fast paced, hands on environment and enjoys the challenge of irregular hours, including nights and weekends. The team places a strong emphasis on professionalism, organisation and accurate record keeping, ensuring the highest clinical standards are consistently maintained.
