Crynodeb
Working under guidance of SOPs, ICH-GCP and COSHH, the main duties for staff working in this role are: To maintain an assigned portfolio of studies within the designated clinical trials pharmacy (LGI, St James Hospital or Chapel Allerton Hospital) including managing and responding to any pharmacy queries received for studies within the portfolio. To host and support monitoring visits with external clinical research associates as requested by the Sponsor, ensuring that all pharmacy activity is compliant with protocol requirements. Report back on findings to the pharmacy team To coordinate the maintenance of all documentation required in pharmacy site files, including archiving arrangements. To act as a primary point of contact for pharmacy, liaising with research assistants/research nurses within LTHT, co-ordinating the timely implementation of approved trial protocols to ensure safe operation of the trials in line with ICH-GCP guidelines To assist with the collection and collation of trial data and completion of pharmacy trial documentation in accordance with trial protocols. To undertake regular auditing/monitoring of the pharmacy files to ensure that research complies with the UK Policy Framework for Health and Social Care Research. To assist the Pharmacy Technicians in the preparation of Trials audits which are undertaken by external agencies, ensuring that everything required is made available to the auditors when they arrive on site Assist the Pharmacy Technicians in the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy department helping other team members who are new to the department as required The post holder will also provide dispensary support to the pharmacy clinical trials team, performing all tasks relating to the management of Investigational Medicinal Products (IMPs) including receipt, dispensing, returns, quarantine and destruction At LTHT we provide pharmacy services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The post holder will be required to work weekends, Bank Holidays and late nights on a rostered basis.
