What skills and experience we're looking for
The Governors of Marsh Green Primary School are seeking to appoint an inspirational, enthusiastic and resilient Headteacher to lead our successful school into its next chapter.
The school has the capacity to build on our recent successful Ofsted inspection. Our shared vision underpins our commitment to empower and enable the next generation of pupils in our school, regardless of ability or background.
We are seeking to recruit a Headteacher who:
• Is dedicated to leading, inspiring and motivating children and staff to be the best they can be.
• Is an effective communicator able to build on our well-developed partnerships with our children, staff, parents, wider community and other local schools and professional agencies.
• Has proven successful leadership experience across the primary phase at senior management level.
• Is committed to driving up high standards of achievement whilst continuing to cultivate a nurturing environment, promoting exciting and creative teaching and learning.
• Will develop our culture where every child feels valued, safe and able to aspire to achieve their dreams, to be the ‘best they can be’.
Our children would like a Headteacher who:
• Is kind.
• Knows what our school needs.
• You can talk to.
• Knows how to deal with difficult behaviour.
• Is brave.
• Knows how to speak in assembly.
• Looks after everyone, including our adults.
• Knows what to do to keep our school safe.
• Loves our school and wants to make a positive difference.
• Communicates with the staff and children to get to know them personally.
• Is supportive by always making sure we are happy and by celebrating our successes.
