Summary


The Role

Our division delivers world-class care across integrated services, renal and transplant, stroke and neurosciences, acute and specialist medicine, and urgent and emergency care. With an annual income of over £400 million and a dedicated team of nearly 3,500 professionals, we combine scale with excellence to provide life-changing care.

This is a pivotal leadership role at the heart of our organisation. As Divisional Director, you will provide vision, strategic direction and executive leadership for the Medicine and Integrated Care Division – one of the largest and most complex portfolios in the Trust. Working as part of the divisional triumvirate and alongside executive colleagues, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe and effective clinical services, while driving innovation and transformation across the division.

You will be accountable for:
• Leading the division to meet all key performance requirements, including quality, safety, financial and operational targets.
• Championing clinical excellence, research and education, ensuring our services reain at the forefront of evidence-based care.
• Driving continuous improvement and transformation, including new models of care and integrated pathways.
• Promoting a positive, inclusive culture that reflects our values –kind, collaborative, expert and aspirational – and engages staff at all levels.
• Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including academic partners, commissioners and local communities.
• This is a role for an exceptional leader – someone who combines clinical credibility with strategic vision and the ability to deliver results in a complex, fast-paced environment.
