What you'll be doing;
- Lead and manage the maintenance function, including in-house teams and contract staff, ensuring efficient operations while maintaining compliance with all relevant legislation and site procedures
- Review plant defects and develop modification proposals to maintain optimal plant reliability and availability across the facility
- Plan and manage scheduled maintenance outages, including work specification, quality control, and coordination between all stakeholders
- Prepare and manage site maintenance budgets, ensuring all activities are delivered within approved financial parameters
- Oversee the development and implementation of Stores Systems, Management Systems, Health & Safety procedures, and the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) to enhance maintenance operations
- Ensure full compliance with the company's Quality and Environmental Management Systems, Health & Safety policies, and all relevant legislation, while participating in the management standby rota for emergency response
What we're looking for;
- Apprentice-trained Engineer with HND or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline, with broad knowledge across Control, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering, plus strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation, CDM regulations, and Pressure Systems regulations
- Experience in a supervisory maintenance role within the process industry (Chemical, Waste Incineration, or Power Generation), ideally with steam raising plant experience
- Proven experience managing maintenance budgets and planned maintenance systems, with strong analytical skills and a practical, hands-on approach to engineering problem-solving
- Excellent communication and organisational skills with demonstrated ability to manage and motivate teams and contractors, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously
