JOB DESCRIPTION SAMPLE
Personal Assistant

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

Personal assistant required for a 10 year old boy living in St Mellons, Cardiff. He has been diagnosed with ASD, global development delay and is non verbal.

He loves trampolines, going to the park, soft play and swimming.


PURPOSE OF JOB

To support out in the community to activities he enjoys, to provide some respite for his family.

HOURS OF WORK

2 hours p/w term time & 4 hours p/w in the school holidays.

Flexible hours to be discussed

RATE OF PAY

£14.50 per hour

TASKS INVOLVED

• Support out in the community to activities he enjoys. He struggles to walk long distances so a wheelchair will be provided.
• Ensure safety at all times
• Personal care will be required (changing nappies)

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

• Someone who is reliable, kind, sensitive and caring.
• Punctual
• Experience of working with individuals with additional needs is essential.
• Car driver is essential



ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
