Information for the role of Housekeeping Services Supervisor (Part-time)Salary from £15,482-£19,352 per annum for 20-25 hours per week An excellent opportunity to join a prestigious organisation in a varied and fulfilling role in a small friendly team. Your day-to-day duties will include:• Supervising the Domestic Assistants to ensure the delivery of a timely and efficient Housekeeping Service• Liaising with student residents to encourage responsible use and care of residential facilities• Management of attendance, performance and conduct• Assisting the Head Housekeeper and Head of Housekeeping with their responsibilities• Liaising with other departments, including Maintenance and Accommodation, as required This is a hands-on position, so you must be comfortable getting involved in cleaning tasks when required. This is not an office-based role, and only 10% of the weekly working time will be spent on administrative duties. To be considered for this interesting role, you will need to have:• GCSE Grade C (or above) in Maths or English or equivalent• Substantial experience in a Housekeeping role as well as in a supervisory role within a hospitality environment• Strong initiative, a proactive approach, and the ability to lead by example• Detailed knowledge of the usage and application of a range of cleaning products• Good understanding of relevant Health & Safety provisions, including COSHH, manual handling and lone working• Proficiency in the use of emails and databases• A good command of the English language. The ideal candidate will be a team player, with a flexible approach to tasks and able to work without direct supervision, prioritising a busy workload. Details of the roleThe post of Housekeeping Services Supervisor is a permanent, part-time role. The hours of work available are either 20 or 25 hours per week, Monday-Friday (although some weekend working will be required - for which notice will be given), with a daily unpaid 30-minute lunch break. There is potential for a degree of flexibility on start/finish times. The annual salary is £15,482-£19,352 per annum for 20-25 hours per week (Step 33 on the College Salary Scale).
