Our steady client, based in Gloucester, has been established for over 20 years and is looking for a reliable, experienced individual to join them as a Warehouse/Production Manager on a permanent, full-time basis.

Full training on the company products and processes will be provided, along with other benefits such as free lunch x2 a week, ability to buy/sell additional holidays, free parking, being part of a good-humoured team and more!

Reporting to the MD, you will oversee 4 x Production Operatives and 4 x Warehouse Staff, autonomously leading a streamlined function with the full backing of the MD and Directors to meet delivery targets while maintaining accuracy.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am - 5pm (4.30pm finish on a Friday!)

Salary: Up to 40k (negotiable depending on experience) + benefits including

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of x8 staff ( 4x Production Ops + 4 x Warehouse Ops)
- Allocate daily tasks and labour in line with production plans and priorities.
- Monitor attendance, timekeeping, and performance.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.
- Carry out informal performance management, coaching, and disciplinary support (with support of upper management).
- Act as first point of escalation for team issues and operational queries.
- Ensure production or picking/packing targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
- Monitor workflow, throughput, and resource utilisation.
- Identify and resolve day-to-day operational issues to minimise downtime.
- Adjust staffing and processes to meet changing demand.
- Ensure correct use of machinery, tools, and systems.
- Coordinate with planning, logistics, and management teams.
- Carry out or oversee quality checks and inspections.
- Address quality issues, non-conformances, and rework promptly.
- Oversee goods-in, storage, picking, packing, and despatch activities.
- Ensure stock accuracy through cycle counts and system updates.
- Ensure safe and efficient use of MHE (FLT, pallet trucks, etc.).
- Ensure delivery timeframes met.
- Track and report KPIs such as productivity, waste, accuracy, and downtime.
- Identify trends and implement corrective actions.
- Escalate risks or constraints to management in a timely manner.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and cost control.
- Support or lead small improvement projects (Lean, waste reduction, layout changes).
- Encourage team involvement in improvement ideas.
