Crynodeb
A caring and supportive personal assistant is required for a happy, lively and energetic 6-year-old girl living in the Looe area. She is autistic and would like someone who she can build up a positive relationship with and provide her with some 1:1 support.
She would like someone to support her with her communication and social skills out in the community.
Her interests are swimming and preparing, cooking and eating food!
Your support will enable her to explore the local area, enjoy more social opportunities, and establish an engaging routine, particularly during weekends and school holidays, gaining independence away from her family.
This is a rewarding opportunity to help a young person grow and achieve greater independence while making a positive impact on their life.
5 hours per week are available, although this is flexible. Some weekend and school holiday availability will be required.
The hourly rate is £13.00, plus mileage expenses. (Car driver preferred but not essential.)
Experience or knowledge of working with young people with SEND is essential.
The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family, and not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All offers of employment will be subject to the successful candidate undertaking an enhanced DBS check, the administration process will be undertaken by Cornwall Council.
If you would like to apply for this role, please send your CV. Alternatively, you can request an application form.
Your CV or application form will be passed onto the family for their consideration. Due to the high number of applicants that are received for various roles, it is not possible to inform applicants if they have been unsuccessful.
Please apply by emailing a copy of your CV and quoting the reference code AHDP/3012 to: cypdirectpayments@cornwall.gov.uk
Please note, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.
