Please see the attached Job Description and Person Specification Directly responsible for the management of own caseload of Oncology patients with diverse presentation and complex physical and psychological conditions, referred for Occupational Therapy assessment, rehabilitation, treatment planning and discharge management.Assists in the management of the specialist team providing, developing and planning an Occupational Therapy service to patients for this client group. The post holder will act as a source of expertise, demonstrating and maintaining knowledge, skills and experience in this specialist role. As a department we are a friendly bunch of therapists who all work together to provide a dynamic and pro-active service to our patients. We have a range of experience and specialisms ranging from Assistants to Highly Specialist Occupational Therapists providing clinical support, and formal and informal training, and the department benefits from being managed by an Occupational Therapist who provides a strong professional lead. We have a strong commitment to clinical supervision and Continuing Professional Development; you will be regularly supervised by a senior therapist and attend the band 6 Occupational Therapy support groups. You will be supported to engage in service development and encouraged to put forward suggestions as to how we can enhance and grow the services we offer. We have a well-structured In-Service Training Programme which the successful applicant will be able to learn from as well as the opportunity to lead sessions with support from your team.
