About the role

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Estates & Facilities Manager to lead the operational delivery of estates and facilities services across our North Bank sites. This key role will ensure that buildings and infrastructure are safe, compliant, well maintained, and fit for purpose, supporting a high-quality learning and working environment.

The successful candidate will manage day-to-day estates operations, ensure statutory compliance, oversee maintenance and PPM programmes, manage contractors and budgets, and lead a team of estates and facilities staff. You will also support capital projects and continuous service improvements, acting as the main point of contact for estates matters on North Bank sites.

This role will be predominantly based at our Scarborough campus, with one day per week travelling between the other North Bank campuses. The role requires strong operational leadership, sound knowledge of health and safety and building compliance, and experience of delivering value-for-money services in a public sector or education environment.



About the person

The successful candidate will have experience and qualifications in:

Relevant facilities or construction management qualification, or substantial experience.
Strong knowledge of health and safety, building regulations, and compliance requirements.
Proven experience in managing estates/facilities operations, building/refurbishment projects, and PPM programmes.
Excellent leadership, team management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to manage budgets, contracts, and deliver value-for-money solutions.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Experience working in an educational or FE environment.
Health & Safety qualification.
