ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A CHANGE?
Powys County Council Building Control is seeking a Registered Building Inspector (RBI) at either Senior or Domestic/General level to join our established team covering the north of the county.
Based in the heart of Wales, you will work alongside experienced inspectors, carrying out the full range of restricted activities and functions relating to building regulations and enforcement. The role also includes administering dangerous structures and demolition notices.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• A Registered Building Inspector with a minimum Class 2A/2B license for both plan checking and site
inspection.
• Full membership of a professional body such as CABE, RICS, or equivalent (or working towards full
membership).
• Extensive experience as a building control practitioner across a wide range of building types and
complexities. (Experience in Wales not essential – full training on Welsh regulations provided.)
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management practices and the Operating Standards Rules.
• Strong leadership and excellent communication skills.
SALARY & BENEFITS
Domestic/General RBI: £38,220 – £46,142
Senior RBI: Up to £50,269
