The Key Responsibilities

To undertake a number of general administrative duties including:

• Processing and distributing incoming mail to colleagues which comprises of writs, summonses, simplified divorces, enquiries and other documents.
• Creating and updating records on our in-house computer system and data input
• Producing court documents
• Preparing files for court hearings
• General photocopying and filing
• Dealing with numerical calculations
• Accounting for monies in accordance with financial guidelines
• undertake light portering duties as required

Additionally you:

• will have regular contact with court users, including members of the Judiciary and the legal profession. As such you be required to competently answer queries giving consistent and reliable advice.
• work within a team with regular management support and will be responsible for your own time.
• may be required to provide advice to colleagues and carry out limited supervision of others.

• assist with preparing statistical information and other returns to ensure standards of work meet the agreed level.

• assist in clearing up of criminal courts by preparing court minutes, issuing letters, ordering reports and filing complaints as necessary.

• process and enter fine payments onto computer system and reconcile at month end.
