Start date - as soon as possibleSalary: CAN scale 14-17 (£27,025 - £27,541 per annum, full time equivalent. Term time only, 33 hours actual salary - £20,760 - £21,156 per annum)Days: 190 days (188 term time days plus 2 staff prep days at the beginning of the academic year)Working hours: 33 hours per week between 8.00am and 3.50pm, across 5 days. This is reflected in their high-quality explanations of subject content’‘Pupils are respectful and polite. It includes some of the staff you will potentially be working alongside and can be found here - youtu.be/iPVfks5Ob4o?si=bRG5PAVeY_gf6xoWThe postAs a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) you will be part of a team working under the direction of the SENCo.As well as the mainstream part of our school, Oaks Park High School is home to Horizon – the largest autism base in the country. This is a specialist provision, offering small teaching classes, that provides a bespoke curriculum for students with autism. Applications from those with experience in this area, or an interest to gain more experience in this area, are very welcome – please note this on your application form.
You will be expected to work effectively with both teaching and support staff at all levels as well as with parents/carers, students and external agencies.
