Key responsibilities include: Assisting in the care of infants, children, and young people, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity at all times. Supporting children and families during clinic visits by providing reassurance, clear communication, and age-appropriate interaction. Undertaking and recording clinical observations such as height, weight, vital signs, and urinalysis in line with training and competency. Preparing clinic rooms and equipment, ensuring areas are clean, well-stocked, and compliant with infection prevention and control standards. Assisting nurses and clinicians with clinical procedures as required, within scope of practice. Supporting the smooth running of clinics by helping manage patient flow, escorting patients, and prioritising tasks in a busy environment. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation on electronic patient record systems. Following safeguarding policies and escalating any concerns about a childs welfare to the appropriate professional. Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, including nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals. Adhering to Trust policies, professional standards, and maintaining confidentiality at all times. Participating in training, supervision, and ongoing competency development.
