A friendly and supportive small animal practice in the popular town of Telford, Shropshire, is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join its close-knit team.

Telford offers an excellent quality of life, combining modern amenities with abundant green spaces such as the expansive Town Park. The area boasts a strong community feel, competitive housing, good schools and a rich industrial heritage, including the nearby Ironbridge Gorge, alongside excellent transport links to Birmingham.

The practice is led by a dedicated Branch Partner and supported by a welcoming team comprising four nursing colleagues, including a Head RVN, and a receptionist. The clinic is well equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including ECG, in-house laboratory, ultrasound, digital X-ray and more, enabling high clinical standards and excellent patient care.

This is an ideal opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon seeking progression and long-term stability. The role offers access to in-house Clinical Communities, providing shared learning on cases, best practice discussions and the chance to connect with experienced mentors. Current clinical pathways include Medicine, Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging, Ophthalmology and Exotics, offering excellent scope for professional development.

The position is full time, working 40 hours per week with 1 in 3 Saturdays.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will:

Be a RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
Demonstrate experience delivering exceptional care to patients and clients
Thrive when working as part of a collaborative team
Show clinical leadership capabilities
Have experience supporting nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures, recognising their impact on practice efficiency
Use coaching and influencing skills to help colleagues perform at their best
