Prowiden Recruitment is recruiting a Qualified Social Worker for an immediate start within a Children’s Assessment & Safeguarding Team (CAST) based in Basingstoke, Hampshire. This is a locum, full-time role, with condensed hours considered.
Key Duties:
• Carry out statutory assessments of children and families
• Assess risk, protection, and social care needs
• Manage a caseload in line with statutory guidance
• Work in partnership with other agencies
• Develop, review, and implement safeguarding plans
• Take appropriate safeguarding action
• Maintain accurate and timely case records
• Prepare clear and professional reports
Team & Support:
• Experienced and supportive management
• Regular supervision and clear direction
• Strong admin and PA support
• Average caseload of around 25 families
• Modern office-based environment
• Access to free internal CPD
Requirements:
• Degree in Social Work (or equivalent)
• Registered with Social Work England
• Experience in Children & Families / Safeguarding
• Strong assessment and report-writing skills
• Ability to meet transport requirements
Pay: Up to £42 per hour
