What skills and experience we're looking for

Essential

• Approachable with excellent communications and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work between multiple sites and from home, (remote assistance)
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience at Technician Level (or above) within an educational environment
• Demonstrates a level of gravitas commensurate with the role
• Logical thinker and ability to act on own initiative
• Able to effectively prioritise own workload, manage that of the team and effectively motivate and lead your team
• Oversee implementation across a range of locations. Proven track record in using development methodologies or recognised project management techniques to deliver successful ICT developments.
• Proven experience in ensuring a safe, secure and compliant ICT environment
• Knowledge and experience in the Education sector or not for profit
• Able to relate well to both Staff and Students with a range of IT abilities
• Able to exercise judgement and refer matters as necessary
• Creative approach leading to solution focused results with a passion for learning and development
• Experience of driving through effective change
• Energy, drive, enthusiasm and ideas for improving business results
• Flexible and open minded approach to completion of work
• Knowledge and experience of working with Google G Suite
• Knowledge and experience of working with MS Azure
• Experience of installation of hardware, software and peripherals
• VM Hypervisor Experience HyperV
• Cisco/HP Switch management experience

Desirable

• Experience of working at a Senior Technician level within an educational environment
