Your new role
As Director of Legal & Company Secretary, you will lead the legal and governance functions, ensuring robust frameworks and compliance across the organisation. Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering expert legal counsel across commercial, regulatory, and compliance matters.
- Supporting the Board and Committees with governance and documentation.
- Overseeing data protection and GDPR compliance.
- Managing insurance portfolios and relationships with regulators and external counsel.
- Leading and mentoring a high-performing legal and governance team.
What you'll need to succeed
- Significant PQE in commercial law, ideally in financial services or regulated sectors.
- Proven Company Secretary experience supporting Boards and Committees.
- Strong knowledge of data protection and GDPR compliance.
- Experience managing insurance portfolios and compliance functions.
- Qualified Solicitor and ICSA/CGI qualification would be advantageous.
- Exceptional communication skills and high professional integrity.
