You will be responsible for identifying additional learning support needs, recommending appropriate strategies, and assessing learners for exam access arrangements in line with JCQ regulations.Working closely with teaching staff, ALS colleagues and external agencies, you will play a key role in ensuring learners receive timely, effective and inclusive support to help them achieve their learning goals.You will have:Experience assessing learners with Specific Learning Difficulties, ideally within a further or higher education settingKnowledge of diagnostic assessment tools and exam access arrangements in line with JCQ regulationsThe ability to produce clear, accurate and comprehensive assessment reports to deadlineExperience planning and delivering specialist ALS sessions and producing tailored learning materialsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teamsGood IT skills and experience maintaining accurate learner records and documentationA commitment to confidentiality, safeguarding and inclusive practiceA willingness to engage in ongoing professional developmentWhat We Offer:Our staff are central to our success, and we offer a wide range of benefits, including:Generous annual leave entitlementLocal Government Pension Scheme (LGPS)Continuous Professional Development (CPD) opportunitiesEmployee Assistance Programme (EAP)Access to staff wellbeing initiatives and discount schemesImportant Information:The safety and welfare of our learners and staff are extremely important to us.
