Summary

The Role:
We are excited to be recruiting an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our dynamic team at New City College. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the Payroll Manager and Senior Payroll Coordinator to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll across the entire college group. You’ll be the first point of contact for all payroll-related queries, delivering a professional, customer-focused service while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy. You should have previous experience in payroll administration, strong communication skills, and the ability to meet strict deadlines. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values precision, and enjoys working collaboratively to meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
You’ll ensure compliance with statutory regulations and college policies, maintain accurate payroll records, and assist with audits when needed. You’ll collaborate closely with HR and Finance teams to resolve discrepancies, prepare insightful payroll reports for management, and contribute to system updates and process improvements that make our operations even better. This is a role where your attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and proactive approach will truly shine—helping us deliver an exceptional service to every member of our college community.
Who You Are:
We’re looking for someone with strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive data with complete confidentiality. You’ll have proven experience using payroll software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and you’ll be confident prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, can-do attitude are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
